You can stun them, preventing their health regeneration: [Void] when you suppress them; [Stasis] when you slow them; [Arc] when you jolt them and trigger the chain lightning effect; and [Headshot] when you damage them with a weapon granted the [Disruption] Overload Trait by a Seasonal Artifact perk.

[Stagger] Unstoppable Champions relentlessly attack and take drastically reduced damage.
You can stun them, removing their resistance to damage:
[Arc] when you blind them;
[Strand] when you suspend them;
[Stasis] when you shatter them;
[Solar] when you damage them with an Ignition;

[Shield-Piercing] Barrier Champions have nearly unbreakable shields that activate when they have been damaged.
You can damage Barrier Champion shields and stun them, preventing their health regeneration:
[Solar] when you are radiant;
[Void] when you have volatile rounds on your weapon;
[Strand] when you have unraveling rounds on your weapon;
[Headshot] when you damage them with a weapon granted the [Shield-Piercing] Pierce trait by a Seasonal Artifact perk.
