Terms of use

The ground rules for using Masterworked.GG. They’re short, and using the site means you’re fine with them.

Last updated 11 October 2026.

The site

Masterworked.GG is a free companion for Destiny 2. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Bungie, Inc.

It shows Bungie’s own data, read through Bungie’s public API, and what we work out from it. It changes your game only when you ask it to (moving, equipping or locking items, applying loadouts), through Bungie’s API, and never touches anything on Bungie.net.

Ads from Google keep it free. They’re Google’s and its advertisers’, not ours: we don’t endorse what they offer, and Google’s terms apply to them. How they use your data is in the privacy policy.

Using it fairly

Use the site for your own play and share links to it as much as you like. Don’t try to break it, get around its security or its limits, or reach parts of it that aren’t meant for you.

Don’t hammer it with automated requests. The site limits how many requests one visitor can send, and Bungie limits how often the site can ask it. Reading pages at a normal pace, by hand or with a browser, is always fine.

Don’t use it to harass or expose other players. Player pages show only what Bungie makes public, and players can ask to be left out.

Signing in

Signing in with Bungie is optional. Your Bungie.net account and its security stay yours and Bungie’s; the site never asks for your password.

You can sign out, export or delete what you saved (on the Account page) and revoke the app on Bungie.net at any time. We may end a session too, for example when Bungie ends the sign-in or to keep the site safe.

How sign-in and your data are handled is in the privacy policy.

What you publish

Community builds you publish are public, under your creator name. They stay yours; publishing one lets the site show it, and others open, favourite and copy it, until you take it down.

Publish only builds and text you have the right to share, and nothing hateful, abusive or misleading. Builds that break these terms can be hidden or removed, and their creators restricted.

You can report a build that breaks them.

Comments and community rules

Anyone signed in with Bungie can comment on items and patch notes, reply, vote and report. Comments are public, under your Bungie Name and Bungie.net profile picture, with the title and Guardian Rank you hold in Destiny 2. They stay yours; posting one lets the site show it on the item’s pages or the article until you delete it or it’s removed.

The rules

  • Be civil. No harassment, threats, hate or slurs. Swearing is fine; aiming it at someone isn’t.
  • No links of any kind. Tag items and attach rolls from the database instead.
  • No ads and no selling or trading: no carries, boosting, recovery services, accounts or currency.
  • No one’s personal information, yours or anyone else’s: no emails, phone numbers, real names or addresses.
  • Keep it about the item or the update, and the game. No spam, and no posting the same thing again and again.
  • No sexual content, no pretending to be someone else, and nothing that breaks the law or someone else’s rights.

Comments that break these rules can be removed, and accounts that keep breaking them can lose the ability to comment. You can edit or delete your own comments at any time.

Ratings: one per account for PvE and one for PvP on each weapon family. Rate what you’ve used, and don’t use several accounts to push a rating.

Tier lists

Anyone can make a tier list and share it as a link or a picture without signing in. Signed in with Bungie, you can save lists, publish them on their subject’s page, mark other people’s lists Helpful and report them. A saved list is seen by whoever has its link; a published one is public, under your Bungie Name and Bungie.net profile picture. Lists stay yours; saving one lets the site show it until you delete it or it’s removed.

The community rules above apply to everything you write on a list: its title, description, tier names and notes. Links and personal information are refused as you save.

The community tiers count each account’s newest published or counted list once per subject, mode and season. Rank what you think; don’t use several accounts to push the counts. Lists that break the rules can be removed. You can delete your own lists at any time.

Game names, text, icons, screenshots, lore and patch notes are Bungie’s. They’re shown as Bungie publishes them, with images loaded from Bungie’s servers, and they aren’t ours to license to you.

Accuracy and availability

The data is Bungie’s and arrives as Bungie publishes it. It can be incomplete, late after an update, or briefly unavailable when Bungie’s API is down. What we work out ourselves (seasons, roll lists, reports, population figures) can be wrong. The About page says which is which.

The site is free and provided as it is, with no promise that it’ll be available, complete or error-free, or that any feature stays. It can change or stop at any time.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from using the site or from relying on what it shows.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, this page changes first, with its date at the top.
